December Newsletter and Calendars

Happy Holidays!

We hope that you and your families enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Our children learned about being thankful for their friends, families, school and community. We took what we had learned and marched together in the Green Bay Holiday Parade. Our families handed out over 1,000 bags of crayons to children watching the parade! It was a fun event for our students, and one that helps us continue to be thankful to be a part of our community!

Planes, trains and automobiles! We have started December learning about transportation. Our older children will be taking a trip to the airport to see airplanes, luggage conveyors, and all of the excitement on the fight line.

Our moms will be joining us for Moms Morning at Mayflower, where we will show them how we appreciate them all year long. The children and their moms, or another special “mom” in their lives, will hear a story, share a snack and have time to play in the classrooms with their child. It will be a great reminder, during this busy season, of just how lucky we are to have so many caring adults in the lives of our students.

In the last weeks of the month, we will be celebrating the season by learning about the many decorations that adorn our community and homes during this time of year, including: bells, ornaments and evergreens. And, much fun will be had, as we complete a bit of elf work to bring home some gifts for our families!

We hope your families have the happiest of holidays and that all of your wishes come true in 2012.
