Ms. Carol

Director & Bunny Class Teacher

Ms. Carol joined Mayflower Nursery School in 2015. She has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education Leadership from Rasmussen College. Before Mayflower, Carol was Assistant Director at Little Inspirations Child Care, as well as a teacher at Encompass in Green Bay. Ms. Carol is the mother to three children: Aaliyah (9), Amiyah (7), and Kingston (3). She enjoys time with her children as well as spending time up north visiting her family in Ashland, WI.

Ms. Karen

Duck Class Teacher & Music Teacher

Ms. Karen has been with Mayflower since  2001. She has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UW-Stout. Before teaching at Mayflower, Karen taught kindergarten in Milwaukee and children of various ages at Children’s Day Out in Green Bay. Ms. Karen and her husband Ted have three grown children, Aaron, 25, Rachel, 23, and Megan, 21 who all attended Mayflower! They also have a rabbit named Penelope and a dog named Henry.

Ms. Amy, Duck Class Assistant Teacher

Ms. Amy has a bachelor’s degree from UW-Stevens Point and joined Mayflower this year after spending the last 11 years as a school bus driver. Ms. Amy has an extensive background working with children beyond her bus driving days as well. She resides in the Mayflower neighborhood, too!

Ms. Sarah

Frog Class Teacher & Art Teacher

Ms. Sarah has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an Art minor from UW-Whitewater. She has taught in both the Frog and Duck classes in past years, in addition to sharing her passion for art with all of the students at Mayflower. Before moving to Green Bay, she taught preschool and junior kindergarten for several years at Hiawatha Day School in Iowa, introducing a school art program while she was there. Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, Matt, and yellow lab, Cannon. Arts and crafts, traveling and being near the water (preferably in warm temperatures!) are a few of her favorite things.

Ms. Maureen

Frog Class Co-Teacher

Ms. Maureen has a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Bellin College. She has served in the Peace Corp, worked in public heath, and taught Lamaze for many years. Teaching preschool is her passion, and has followed her interests an has continued her education with early childhood classes at NWTC. Her connection to Mayflower goes back 18 years to when her oldest son first enrolled. All four of her children have attended Mayflower. Over the years she has enjoyed volunteering and helping as a substitute teacher, and also previously taught in the Bunny class for three years.


Ms. Gail, Bunny Class Assistant Teacher

Ms. Gail has a certificate in Early Childhood Education and has continued to keep herself current and strengthen her skills by taking ongoing educational classes. She recently moved to Green Bay after spending several years in both Florida and Illinois. While in Illinois, she spent six years as a teacher at Little Lambs Preschool, where she taught children ages 3-5, and in total has spent the past 20 years working with children in both public and private schools. Ms. Gail is the mother of three boys and six grandchildren and has been married for 36 years. She is looking forward to serving the students at Mayflower.



Ms. Tessa

Hedgehog & Turtle Teacher

Ms. Tessa has been caring for children in our community for many years, and brings a wealth of experience to Mayflower Nursery School. She has also been both a volunteer and a substitute teacher in the Duck, Bunny and Frog classes for the six years before joining the Mayflower teaching team. Ms. Tessa and her husband and son (who also attended Mayflower) love to go adventuring outdoors exploring and appreciating nature. When not at Mayflower, you can find Tessa on the sports field cheering on her athletic family members or taking care of one of her many pets!

Ms. Sara, Hedgehog & Turtle Assistant Teacher

Ms. Sara has a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Psychology from the UW-Green Bay.  She also has an associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy and has worked in the hospital setting for many years.  Ms. Sara has three children and has been caring for children long before then.
